When are the live zoom sessions of the course? 

 

The four sessions take place on Mondays, January 20th, January 27th, February 10th and February 17th from 8-9:30pm EST (5-6:30pm PST). ​

How do I log into zoom sessions of the course? 

  

First, you should apply for your personal zoom log-in for the course at this link. Once we approve it, you'll receive an email from no-reply@zoom.us with the subject line "Your Login for Solidarity in the Face of MAGA Live Sessions". When it's time for a zoom session, click the big blue "Join Meeting" button in that email and you'll be brought into the zoom meeting. Occasionally, Zoom may ask for a password when joining a session. This password is "Solidarity" with a capital S.

Do I need a new zoom login link for every live session? 

 

No. You will use the same login link for every session.

Why haven’t I gotten my zoom login link yet? 

 

For added course security, we manually approve zoom login applications, ensuring that everyone is also registered for the course. Therefore, you will not get an immediate response when you apply. This is why we ask that everyone intending on attending the first session live do their best to apply for their login by the day before this session so we can approve you in time. Please also make sure that you apply for your zoom login with the same email address you used to register for the course.

It is also possible that we have already approved your zoom login and that the email got buried in your inbox or stuck in your spam box or gmail promotions tab. You can search in these places for an email from no-reply@zoom.us with the subject line "Your Login for Solidarity in the Face of MAGA Live Sessions".

Where do I find homework assignments and recordings of course sessions? 

 

You will find all of these on your course participant page. Session recordings will be posted about 2 days after live sessions take place. Homework for the next session will typically be posted two days after the previous one as well.

I registered for the course but I’m not getting any emails about it. What do I do? 

 

You should have gotten an email right when you registered with the subject line, "Your tickets for: Solidarity in the Face of MAGA". This came through the Ticket Tailor registration platform we used for this course. Search for this subject line in your inbox and if you don't find it there do the same search in your spam folder and gmail promotions tab.

In the week or two before the course, during the course, and immediately afterwards you will receive emails directly from me (David) from the address david@davidbfdean.com. If you're reading this during one of these time periods and are having trouble finding these emails please search for my email address in your spam, gmail promotions, and normal inboxes. If emails didn't go where they were supposed to, drag an email from me to your normal inbox or add david@davidbfdean.com to your email contacts. This should correct the problem for the future.

If none of this works and you think you may have just typed the wrong email address into the registration form, email me and we can sort it out.

I want to register multiple people for the course. Is this possible? 

 

Each participant must fill out their own registration form for the course. If you would like to pay for another participant or for members of your organization or workplace, please reach out to david@davidbfdean.com to discuss the best way to do this (and have your colleagues register themselves individually, selecting the $0 payment option).

Can I still have a good course experience if I am unable to attend the live sessions?

 

Yes. Live zoom participation is not required and session recordings are posted to your participant page about 2 days after each session takes place. Many people have meaningful experiences going through course content at their own pace without attending every live session (or any of them).
