SOLIDARITY
IN THE FACE OF MAGA
COURSE
WELCOME LETTER
Please read carefully and follow the steps outlined here.

Hello and welcome to Solidarity in the Face of MAGA. I’m grateful that you’re with us and look forward to our experience together!
This welcome letter includes important information about next steps for you to take to ensure you have a great experience in the course.
1. Apply for your personal zoom login here if you would like to attend the February 17th teach-in live. When you apply, enter the same email you used when registering. For added security, we manually approve zoom login applications, ensuring that everyone is also registered for the course. Therefore, you will not get an instantaneous response when you apply. When you do receive your zoom login link via email it will come from no-reply@zoom.us with the subject line "Your Login for Solidarity in the Face of MAGA Live Sessions". To click your link when it's time for a live session, click the big blue "Join Meeting" button toward the bottom of this email. Before you apply for your login, be sure you have read the course structure and community agreements document, which was also provided to you when you registered.
Please also note that this one zoom login link will get you into all four live sessions of the course. Additionally, Zoom may occasionally ask for a password when you are joining a session. This password is "Solidarity" with a capital S.
We ask that you do your best to apply for this login right when you register to ensure we can get you in to the next live session.

2. Visit Your Participant Page for the Course: This is where all homework and session recordings will be stored. We ask that you keep this participant page link on hand (it’s davidbfdean.com/solidarity-winter-2025) and don’t share it with those who aren’t registered for the course. Please note that homework for the February 17th teach-in will be posted on your participant page by the end of the day, Thursday, 2/13.

3. Reminders about key course logistics: Live sessions of the course take place on zoom on Mondays January 20th, January 27th, February 10th, and February 17th from 8-9:30pm EST (5-6:30pm PST).
Recordings of live sessions are posted to your participant page 1-2 days after each session takes place. You are welcome to attend everything live, go through the course via recordings at your own pace, or do some of both. For each session of the course you'll have about 2 hours of homework. Do your best to get through this prior to these sessions, though don’t stress if you can’t get through it all.

4. Questions? We have a very small staff supporting this course. For this reason, we ask that if you have questions about any course logistics you first check our Frequently Asked Questions Page. If you can’t find an answer there, feel free to email your question to david@davidbfdean.com.

I’m grateful to be connected to each of you and excited for what’s to come!
Sincerely,
David

P.S. If you’re seeing this page right after registering you should have just received two emails. The first includes a registration receipt. The second is a short email with much of the same information written here as well as a request that you add david@davidbfdean.com to your email contacts to ensure that future emails from me throughout the course don’t go to spam or your promotions tab!
